"Stay Live" Superior Drummer 3 Preset

This one-click mix ready preset is inspired by Rie Takahashi’s “Stay Alive,” or better known as the ED for anime series

The preset features a Yamaha Kit loaded massively heavy, warm-sounding punch that will work perfect on most hardcore ballad genres.

Created by our resident mixing engineer shadyberns, the preset seeks to recreate the closest sounding drums to the original song. It has been meticulously crafted to sound as natural as possible with minimal processing which will also help cut the load off the CPU.

Why do I need this preset?

Whether you are a songwriter, producer, drummer or even just a hobbyist, this preset will give you a mix-ready sound that requires no further tuning right on the go. It is also perfect for studying how to process and modulate for desired drum sounds using only the SD3 core library.

What will I get from the pack?

• The SD3 preset file
• The midi project file (.sd3p)
• Full drums solo track from demo (.wav)

How do I install the preset?

Windows: Copy the file to C:\Users\(user)\Documents\Toontrack\Superior3\PresetsEZX\SL-SUPERIOR_DRUMMER_3\S3Presets

Mac: Copy the file to Macintosh HD/Users/(user)/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior3/PresetsEZX/SL-SUPERIOR_DRUMMER_3/S3Presets

If the preset does not show up in Superior Drummer, press “Rescan User Presets” to refresh the menu.

Why are there plugins turned off in the chain?

Depending on the context of your mix these plugins are created for “just in case situations.” They are up to you to decide whether to use for the drums to sit better in the mix.
