Inspired by Paramore’s all-time hit “Misery Business," this one-click mix ready preset features a SJC kit that will make any punk song POP.

Created by our resident mixing engineer shadyberns who specializes in mixing pop punk music, this preset has been fine tuned after numerous productions to deliver the best sounding quality right on the go.


Required Libraries:

• Pop Punk EZX

*Note: this is a preset file for Superior Drummer 3, you will need to have both the SD3 editor and the Pop Punk EZX library.

Why do I need this preset?

Whether you are a songwriter, producer, drummer or even just a hobbyist, this preset will give you a mix-ready sound that requires no further tuning right on the go. It is also perfect for studying how to process and modulate for desired drum sounds using the Pop Punk EZX library in combination with the Superior Drummer interface.

What will I get from the pack?

• The SD3 preset file
• The midi project file (.sdp3)
• Full drums solo track from demo (.wav)


How do I install the preset?

Windows: Copy the file to C:\Users\(user)\Documents\Toontrack\Superior3\PresetsEZX\EZX2_PopPunk\S3Presets

Mac: Copy the file to Macintosh HD/Users/(user)/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior3/PresetsEZX/EZX2_PopPunk/S3Presets

If the preset does not show up in Superior Drummer, press “Rescan User Presets” to refresh the menu.


Why are there plugins turned off in the chain?

Depending on the context of your mix these plugins are created for “just in case situations.” They are up to you to decide whether to use for the drums to sit better in the mix.
